Don Omar

  • Biography:
Born in Puerto Rico, William Landon (Don Omar) is one of the most recognized reggaeton artists of the moment. He began his career at a young age, as a member of several groups like the Christian Rappers. The passion for music helped him to form a rich experience that allows you to participate in more than 20 albums of the genere. The Last Don was his first hit, selling over 350,000 copies and receiving a great appreciation of the music industry including: Album of the Year in the category Latin Pop, Best Newcomer and Best Album Latin / Hip Hop Billboard Music Award 2003. These awards make Don Omar in an international artist and his album was released worldwide. Don Omar and sports brand Umbro, began a partnership in November 2004 of the artist's creative action in the world of clothing and shoes urban culture, which captures the energy of Reggaeton and urban lifestyle. Don Omar is also the founder of the Treasure Kids Fund Foundation dedicated to helping autistic children. In 2005 Don Omar released his first album as a producer known as The Highwaymen, involving genre artists such as Tego Calderon, Ivy Queen, Nicky Jam, Hector el Bambino, among others. The album sold over 250,000 copies. Don Omar has made a European tour a great success for countries like Spain. Italy, Switzerland. Don Omar has become a central and important figure in the world of reggaeton.

In 2005 is published Reggaeton Latino. Includes remixes of all the hits, “Dale Don Dale”, “Dile”, “Pobre Diabla”, the disc includes two new tracks: Reggaeton Latino, with a controversial video and theme “Ella y Yo”, a topic that sings along with the Dominican group Aventura. The album includes other remixes just with Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull, DJ Kazzanova, Eliel, Nore, Cuban Link, Hector El Father & Zion, Fat Joe among others.
